This picture of the Horseshoe Falls looks like the river is just getting sucked into a black hole-ish cavern. They actually diverted 50 to 75 percent of the water that used to go over the falls! Can you imagine what the discovers of these falls thought when they first saw, or even heard, the falls? Like Derrick so insightfully said, "That's a lot of water". |
